Helle Kristensen is a Danish recorder player whose special interest in contemporary music has led to the premiere of numerous new works, most of them dedicated to her by composers from several countries. She made her acclaimed debut from the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus in 1996, after studies with recorder virtuoso Leif Ramløv Svendsen, as well as lessons with Clas Pehrsson, Stockholm. Her recordings as a soloist and with ensembles Euterpe Ensemble and Con Strumenti are found at Danish labels Paula Records, Point Records, Horizon, Kontrapunkt & Classico.
