My name is Ronald Jones Jr. - more commonly known as Rondon or Down The Way (DTW) Ron Don. I am from the home of Lebron James - Akron, Ohio. I graduated early at 17 and was supposed to go to a Juco (junior) college to play football. I come from a larger family - 6 siblings on my Dad’s side; 2 on my Mom’s. I decided not to go to college when my mother was diagnosed with cancer and stayed in my city to take care of her. My mother ended up passing away the day after I turned 18. I have been taking care of myself and am proud of it since I had already lost my father when I was 8 years old when he was murdered at a block party. A few weeks before my father was killed, I started doing music with him. We had a studio built in our house and I recorded my first track and uploaded it to YouTube. Since my dad started me off with music, it has made me take music very seriously and given me an internal drive to be the best. I told myself I should never stop and have dedicated myself to it. I am a versatile artist - I sing, rap and dance. Currently I am working to continue making new music, new videos and begin to tour to grow my fan base.
