Biography

Barbadian Singer/Songwriter/Producer, Dabian born (Dabian O’brian Dacaosta Olton: 22 December 1986 in Bridgetown Barbados) is a Barbadian Songwriter/Singer/Producer known mainly in the “soca” fraternity for his creative lyrics and “unique” musical fusions. His first penned soca hit track was performed by St. Maarten artist, “Kenyo Baly” in 2017 and was co-written by fellow Barbadian Artist/Songwriter/Producer “Jus D”. The said track won the St. Maarten Groovy Monarch in that year. The next couple years to follow (i.e 2018 & 2019) Dabian and Jus D put pen to paper and again wrote tracks; “Infront of Me” and “Bluff” for Kenyo respectively, again winning the Groovy Monarch in 2018 and placing second in 2019. Dabian then worked with popular Barbadian Soca Artist, Jus D, to pen mega hit “Hole” in 2018 and “So What” in 2019. He also co-wrote “Property” for Antiguan singing sensation “Tizzy” in 2018. As an artist, he performed (also penned & produced) popular soca track “Take Body”. This track did reasonably well in Barbados but also received international interest. In that same year (2019), he penned and produced “Crème De La Crème” for artist “Skins” (West Indies Cricketer-Ashley Nurse) which also received overseas interest.
