Biography

Nine letters typed on Google can instantly raise the mystery around Blundetto’s identity. Max Guiguet had spend 20 years in the walls of Radio Nova as a radio programmer. Max was already stuck in Jamaican music, but he finds himself there in front of a vastness of genres and styles to discover, to tame and to deepen. For twenty years he will. His musical double who started to live from 2005, through the long nocturnal sessions to experiment, to look between sampling and live instruments. To play guitar, keyboard, drums or bass. To sample, compose, arrange, polish for four years so that finally, in 2009, his name resonates on the decks. A name straight from a mafia series: Blundetto. Bad Bad Things will be his first misdeed. An album that flirt with the smoky volutes of reggae, nostalgic soul or soundtracks. He reoffends in 2012 with Warm My Soul. The aesthetics is less roots, drum machines and machines more present. The third round in 2015, still on the same basis and always with the decisive Blackjoy. No more jet-lag nor thousands of miles to swallow, World Of. Supported by this vibration of Kingston, between roots and modern, Blundetto worked on his new album: Good Good Things, 10 years after Bad Bad Things, released in 2020 on Heavenly Sweetness, obviously. He is at the same time contacted to deliver his first soundtrack: that of the flagship podcast "Gang Stories". That gives us a cinematic single, that we can well imagine illustrating a western at the Mexican border
