Max Gavins is a rapper, songwriter and producer from Newcastle. A colourful and versatile MC/Singer, Max has been a staple in the North East music scene for almost a decade. First making a name for himself as a teenager under the moniker Suus, he accumulated over 700,000 views from rap battles that took him the length of the UK and beyond, travelling to Ireland and the USA to showcase his skills. A former RIDE Music 'Artist of the Week', Max successfully shook off the battle rapper tag and released self-produced album '1994' in 2017. After remaining relatively quiet for a while, appearing only in the form of the odd freestyle (on platforms like BBC 1Xtra's Street Studio, SparkFM and Flex Freestyles), guest verse or as a producer, Max Gavins returned in 2021 with the infectious club-ready banger Kamoze. Last year, he also supported the likes of luke royalty and Badmind with his energetic live performances. 2022 saw the release of Songs In The Key Of Hype - an album by RuMaz, which is a collaborative project between Max and Sunderland legend 90BRO. Slated as "an early contender for North East album of the year" (NARC Magazine), the project showcased some of Max's best production and songwriting abilities. Currently working on a new album, as well as a number of side projects, Max dropped the psychedelic 3, 2, 1 at the top of 2023, as well as the organ-driven £WORLD
