Biography

Bottleneck (Jacky Strickland) was born in Jacksonville FL and at a young age moved just a few miles north to the small town of Callahan FL. While living a simple small town life with his wife and children, things changed two years ago when the mill Jacky worked for full time suddenly closed. With the struggling economy and no jobs to be found, Jacky had to find something to do to pay the bills and support his family. That's when he decided to turn his hobby of making music into a full time career. Jacky joined a group known as Dubblewide that included Jeff McCool (Brahma Bull) now of Moccasin Creek and jumped straight into making music that quickly gained popularity at local mud holes and honky tonks. Less than a year later, he decided to branch out and embarked on his solo career. Jacky quickly gained popularity as a solo artist. He received national notoriety when CMT made him a featured artist, highlighting 7 of his first 10 songs on several of MTV's hit shows including Buck Wild. Jacky has become a mud bog and Southern Country rap favorite. When not making music, Bottleneck enjoys what most small town boys like: hunting, fishing, watching football with great friends and a cold beer on Friday nights. The love of his kids, wife and family is most important in his life. Now less than two years, two albums, 4 albums and 2 EP's and millions of views on YouTube later, life is good while living the American Dream.
