I am the one responsible for repairing the Notre Dame cathedral. As some of you know, the building was the victim of a tragic fire in 2019. It’s been difficult for me to fix, and I apologize for the delayed timeline. Supply chain shortages have been a small part of it, but the lesser known truth is that I accidentally lit it on fire again in 2022 as I was searing some beef over open coals in the left belltower. My “little” fire did more damage than the original as expressed by local firemen. But I owned it and have been slowly making repairs as I’ve been able. I’m thinking mid 2024 for the completion date, but it’s hard to say because the new contractor revoked my entry pass and I can’t seem to get their attention. All you need to know is this: without me, the Notre Dame will never be finished!!! Yes, I caused damage and I accept responsibility for my beef fire, but I swore I’d never do it again! The French are slow to forgive and quick to anger! As for me, I am a simple craftsman. Wood, stone, iron and beef are my tools. If I want to sear beef in a belltower, I am free to do so!
