Tobias Kassung is one of the prominent German guitarists of his generation and is dedicated to expanding the borders in his profession. In 2003, he founded the Kölner Klassik Ensemble for which he remains the artistic director. Since then, he established several chamber music projects: The Astor Trio, duos with the cellist Lena Kravets and the guitarist Luciano Marziali and multiple quartet and quintet repertoires. His concerts have led him through Europe, Russia, the United States, South America, Japan, Australia and the Arabian Peninsula. He has released nine CDs with Sony Classical and KSG Exaudio and is very active as a composer of solo works, chamber music and film music. His concerts and compositions have been broadcast on several TV and radio stations, such as, ARD, WDR, SWR, HR and Bayrische Rundfunk.
