El Kamel, was born in Havana, Cuba. He grew up in Old Havana, in a house located on Factoría Street between Corrales and Apodaca. He is known as the King of Cuba and has risen to the top of the Cuban music scene. In 2017 a chance encounter with Cedric Singleton the CEO of Black Market Records, lead to him signing a recording contract with the American based recording company. In 2017 he released 2 albums Time Real Fire and One Rey. In 2018 the unprecedented work ethic and talent of El Kamel has lead to the release of 9 albums including the ground breaking “El rey de el barrio” with includes the tracks “Mojonera,” “Tu Erez Tiza,” and “Cosa Gorda,” and “Asalto” which featured more breakout hits like “Hazte de un pocho” and “Haz tu vida” and with a 9th CD expected before the end of the year. 2018 was a break out year for El Kamel delivering 8 of Cuba’s top 20 tracks. El Kamel has worked with some of Cuba’s biggest acts like Yomil & Dany, El Yonki, Chocolate, El Chulo, El Taiger, El Yonki, Kola Loka, El Micha, El Chacal, Osmani Garcia, Kandy Man and with plans to work with Gente De Zona. He is currently headlining tours all over Europe and his tour will soon be in the the US.
