John Michael Edixon, best known as “KRITIKO”, is a Filipino rapper-composer who was a finalist in one of the most prestigious annual songwriting competitions in the Philippines, “Himig Handog”. From the underground scene, this 24-year-old artist went mainstream when he wrote the song “Kababata” which got third place (out of around 5,000 entries) in Himig Handog 2018. Since his discovery in the said competition, he wrote the rap verse of Miss Universe 2019 Catriona Grey-inspired song Raise Your Flag which he performed and recorded with Asia’s Soul Supreme, KZ Tandingan. He also wrote “Salamat Sa", which he performed and recorded with Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition alumna , Loisa Andaliao. He also wrote the rap verse to “Kay Sayang Pasko Na Naman” , the theme song of Metro Manila Film Festival 2019 entry “The Mall, The Merrier” which he recorded with Filipino award-winning multi-hyphenates in the Philippine entertainment industry, Anne Curtis and Vice Ganda. He also collaborated with one of Original Pinoy Music icons Ogie Alcasid and international artist Iñigo Pascual for a remix of Do You Wanna Dance With Me. Now signed with Star Music, Kritiko is preparing for the drop of his debut EP which will contain a trilogy rap-love song and a collaboration with the Queen of Teleserye Theme Songs, Angeline Quinto.
