Biography

In the year MCMLXXX, a young computer scientist accidently discovers a code that self-replicated itself into infinite regression. When Benoit Mandelbrot fed this algorithm into what was at the time the most powerful computer, spiral patterns of an incremental order emerged from it's first iteration. Trying to intuitively grasp this serendipitous discovery, it dawned upon him that he had cracked the source code of God's creative principle encrypted within the matrix of reality. He called this phenomenon, Fractal. Using different forms of sound synthesis techniques, Fractal Elf mirrors the emerging nature of a fractal through a kaleidoscope of sonic colors emerging from of a single unifying idea/theme. Following in the school of electronic music pioneers such as Stockhausen, Ligeti, Schaeffer and Cage of sonic experimentation by means of analogue modalities, as well as taking inspiration from musings of music theorist and avant-garde composer Harry Partsch , Fractal Elf seeks to push the envelope of conventional sonic boundaries.
