Iva Zabkar has been a movie and media score composer and sound designer for more than 10 years. She studied applied composing and instrumental paedagogy at University of Music and Performing Arts in her hometown Vienna, Austria. She has created music for several feature movies and dozens of theatrical shorts, which have travelled every continent, picking up numerous awards along the way. Her tv series debut for tatort Rebecca (SWR; directed by Umut Dag) - reached almost 11m viewers on German primetime TV. Iva is teaching at Popakademie/JSBM-Music School and University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. She is also producing electronic music for the artpop project "iNANA (with Nina Braith) and kotomaki (with doktor audio). Last but not least, Iva is one of the co-founder of the viennese female fronted music label/collective Beatzarilla and "Track15 Female Composers Collective. "...I'm looking for magic, cinematic moments - be it on screen, on photos or in real life, and once I've found them I try to figure out how they would sound like."
