Born & Raised in Chicago, IL DJ Earl entered the musical world in 2005. Between playing band in school & having parents who played records he was introduced to alot of soul funk & hip-hop. No stranger to the streets as a youth he explores the Chicago footwork scene. Eventually meeting legends in the culture like DJ Spinn DJ Rashad (rip) & RP Boo, he soon started to produce and would later join the Ghetto Teknitianz know today as TEKLIFE. DJ Earl represents the next generation of Chicago's Footwork sound. Sub Bass heavy dance music blended with genres like Jazz Funk & Soul. Anthem like chants and samples paired with ecentric synthesizer melodies. After Releases on prestigious labels such as Planet Mu, Hyperdub, Astrophonica, Moveltraxx, & Fool's Gold. Earl would release debut album "Open Your Eyes" feat artists like 0PN. Also linking with Shepard Fairey & Ashes 57 for the artwork. Earl released this album on DJ Rashad's (rip) & DJ Spinn's Teklife57 Label. Fastword to 2020 Earl announced his sophomore LP "Bass + Funk & Soul" dropping via Paris born - London based label Moveltraxx. Soon after true to his roots Earl began producing Hip-Hop & linking with Childhood friend Aakeem Eshú. Creating the new collaborative effort "Black Dobson". Earl has since then released 4 Beat Tapes via Bandcamp and worked with other notable Chicago based talented emcees Freddie Old Soul & King Frost.
