Aaron Orbit, born Aaron Johnson, grew up in Ventura, California, where his love for music began early. He started playing guitar in elementary school and soon formed his first band, Psycho Café, balancing schoolwork with gigs on the Sunset Strip. Although his initial focus was on the guitar, Orbit discovered his natural singing talent with encouragement from his bandmates. After high school, Orbit joined the alternative hard rock band 8STOPS7, who had just signed with Reprise Records. As a guitarist and backup vocalist, he toured extensively, playing major festivals and opening for well-known bands. When 8STOPS7 took a break, Orbit formed Le Meu Le Purr, an experimental hard rock band that quickly gained attention. They signed with TVT Records, but when the label folded, the band self-released their album and toured independently. During a hiatus with Le Meu Le Purr, Orbit launched his solo career with the 2012 album “Sunday Morning Murder Songs,” blending alternative rock with unique elements. His 2014 EP "M.E.C.O." showcased his versatility as a multi-instrumentalist, while his 2018 album “Monolith” featured complex, layered arrangements. Orbit’s latest album, "XOAO," blends alternative rock with ambient and electronic influences, marking the final chapter of a creative trilogy. Since 2016, Orbit has also been the bassist for LA’s satanic doo-wop group, Twin Temple, touring internationally. He continues to push creative boundaries and evolve as an artist.
