Originally formed in early 2014 in Italy, the five-piece band has developed a unique, identifiable sound. Originally mixing alternative country with a darker garage sound; the music has evolved into a sound best described as Southern Gothic Rock. Nomotion have self-released several EP’s including a full-length album in 2019 titled “Funeral Parade of Lovers” “which was well received by critics. The album condenses the path of maturation into eleven tracks compiled over the past five years. The feature most evident is certainly the abandonment of the country vein in favor of more sonority marked rock. Themes showcased in the album include morbid relationships not only with people, but addictions as well. The influences are innumerable, so much so that it was once wrote: "Try asking ten people what Nomotion are playing, you will probably receive as many responses.” In 2020 the band started a collaboration with Mold Records, and have since released several singles and music videos with another EP titled “Abide” being released in April 2021. In 2021 they also teamed up with Ego and Pessimism Records for promotion. Nomotion have been honoured to share the stage with greats, such as Motorama, Messa, Horror Vacui, The Sade, Reverend Elvis, and Protomartyr.
