Segen Abraha, better known as Affy, is a Michigan-based female rapper who pulls no punches in her lyrics. She is the daughter of Girmai Abraha and Lemlem Seifu, who were both refugees from Eritrea. Affy was the first family member to be born in America, thus making her an Eritrean American. Affy started writing at 10-years-old, knocking down poetry competitions all over Michigan. Once she turned 18, Affy swapped in her pen and pad for a microphone.
