Ari Stylez SSR, born Ari Johnson, was raised on the West side of Chicago. From the early age of 2, Ari was destined for the entertainment industry. His mother, Chantay Savage, instilled his love for music throughout his childhood. As a successful R&B singer herself with RCA, Chantay encouraged Ari to find his niche as a recording artist and to experiment with different genres. When in high school, Ari was inspired by artists Lil Wayne and Dipset; he would often incorporate Hip Hop and Rocker fashion before it became mainstream. When he was in college emceeing parties at the local clubs, one promoter noticed his fashion forward sense and began calling him Ari Stylez. From his early days as a child model with Ford Agency, to being featured on the Style Network series “Chicagolicious” with his father, AJ Johnson, his stage name has become all inclusive of his music, fashion sense and lifestyle. Today, Ari Stylez SSR splits his time between his hometown of Chicago and Los Angeles, fine tuning his musical career. Although he records at different studios, he considers CRC Studios in Chicago to be one of his favorites.
