Syna, her alias, born as Kandice Me’kaylah Pritchard-Harmon is an Afro-Latino American singer born April 30th, 1998 in Atlanta, Georgia. Raised in foster care, she spent most of her life around the center of Macon and after adoption, residing in Evans, Georgia. She currently lives in Chievres, Belgium. The alias, "Syna" comes from the neurological condition called 'Synesthesia", in which information meant to stimulate one of your senses stimulates several of your senses. In Harmon's case, hearing music gives her the ability to see colors, hence the name of her EP "Colors and Feelings". On June 15, 2020 she released her debut single “The Happy”, a song that brings inspiration to overcome the mental storm and ultimately choosing happiness. On July 23, 2020 Syna released her first EP - “Colors and Feelings” a story based on the journey of a young woman who can’t seem to escape her post-traumatic fears of being alone and not being loved, but eventually faces everyday head on. On August 10, 2020 she released her single “Someone Like You”.
