Biography
The Kudu inhabits light forest and thick brush country in much of drier eastern and southern Africa, often in rocky areas. The large spiraled horns, occurring only in the males, may measure almost 6 feet along the curves. The Kudu feeds mainly on shoots, leaves and buds. Active at dawn and dusk or at night, they seek shade under trees during the midday heat.
