Ritchie Rabaraona aka Ryu Junior is a french-malagasy autodidact producer and multi-instrumentalist. He grew up in Madagascar where he was already living with music. His father is the first rock band founder and a metal/rock legend in Madagascar and his uncles and aunts "Les Surfs" was the first Malagasy singer group to collaborate with big French and American 60's artists such as the Beatles, Johnny Hallyday and many more. Ryu felt the big connection he had with music in the age of 5 when his parents bought him his first acoustic guitar. He already wrote some littles songs and thought that he could give his little talents in the music industry. Growing up, he learns to play the piano and drums while playing in his family band as a drummer with his father and his big brother. Ryu Junior started music production at the age of 12 in his bedroom as a studio. The thought of having his own and unique sound haunts him the more his progress in his little career as a producer. It's only in 2018, when he decides to be truly honest with his feelings and produce his song 'Blind By The Past' which touched hearts of many. After that, he develops his unique genre which combines acoustic folk/indie music with EDM, lo-fi and traditional Malagasy music. In July 2020, he releases his debut EP 'luv imperfections.' which translates his feelings about imperfections of love and life. ryujunior
