Sev is a Vaporwave recording project by Rhode Island born Brandon Sevigny. Initially a guitarist and saxophone player, Sev’s exposure to Chillwave artists like Neon Indian and Washed out, as well as Electronic producers like XXYYXX, MNDSGN, and Flume peaked his curiosity into the world of digital music composition. Eventually stumbling across the Vaporwave community, the sounds of Esprit, Satin Sheets, and Saint Pepsi captivated him, and gave him the final inspiration he’d need to pursue his music production career. 
 After several years of trial and error, Sev released his debut EP entitled “777” via the Vivarium Recordings Bandcamp page. This EP served to give a taste of Sev’s musical palette, with a variety of sounds and styles housed under one project. His subsequent EP “River City” was a homage to the sample based roots of Vaporwave, incorporating future funk elements with classic style chopped and screwed sample loops.
