Jakk Da Rhymer is an emcee out of the Brooklyn, New York area. His introduction to music and hip-hop was performing in cyphers and small venues throughout the New York area. He began his journey in hip-hop music along side his rhyming partner Capital Steez, the two were close friends from childhood and together released “The Yellow Tape” a Hip-Hop mixtape in 2009 under the moniker “Close Encounterz of the 3rd Kind”. Since then, Jakk has collaborated with fellow Pro era emcees including Joey Badass, CJ Fly and Kirk Knight, as well as signed artist Miyachi. Jakk Has always collaborated with friend when it came to creating music and in 2015 formed the Dark Chip Syndicate label along with other rappers and producers in the city of Philadelphia. Since their formation DCS has released 2 project and several singles, most notably “Basement” in 2015 that continues to gain a strong underground following. Jakk has contributed lyrics, flow, creativity as well as the spirit of collaboration and development to what he refers to as his “craft” and others call Hip-Hop.
