LVCD. is an American multifaceted artist from South Louisiana. His unique style of "alt rap" is derived from a lifetime of eclectic source material. LVCD. recounts early memories of listening to everything from gospel such as Kirk Franklin and Marvin Sapp to dynamic hip hop like Public Enemy, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and Soulja Slim in his early car rides with his mother. He began his journey as a musician through his elementary school band program where he learned how to play brass instruments. Going on to make beats on FL studio and DJing for his family out home he recounts artists such as Del The Funky Homosapien, Shwayze, Rage Against The Machine, K'NAAN, André 3000, Bob Marley & The Wailers, Erykah Badu, Travie McCoy, Kanye West, Ras G, MF DOOM, Flying Lotus, and Mos Def that gave him the true understanding of his freedom as an artist to be himself. So on he would be heavily influenced by his generation of rappers and alt/electronic artists like Tyler, The Creator, Mac Miller, Datsik, Earl Sweatshirt, deadmau5, Chester Watson, Death Grips, Milo, Sleigh Bells, KAYTRANADA, Kendrick Lamar, Knxwledge, Childish Gambino, Gorillaz, and Diplo. Rapper, producer, disc jockey, painter, horn player, a traveler of sights and sounds, a wanderer creating experiences and memories with his poems and 22nd Century anthems, songs full of life and death and all in between and after.
