With a hunger for soaring melodies, electric guitars and dynamic soundscapes of indie-pop artists like Lana Del Rey, Haim and St. Lucia, artists Carmen & Camille create music with an inescapable desire to unleash moments through song. Emerging as their own unique indietronica sound, fusing organic guitars and retro synths, each song takes us on a journey of heartfelt emotion. Growing up in a musical family, the twin sisters were learning instruments and harmonizing from an early age. Their passion for music and performance took Camille to school for Contemporary Jazz Voice and Carmen to Broadcast Journalism school in their hometown of Vancouver, BC, Canada. Eventually working with producers in Los Angeles brought the girls to what would soon be their new home. It was during that time Carmen & Camille were nominated for a Juno in Canada, losing to Deadmau5 for dance recording of the year. In the years that followed another journey began. Camille started honing her production skills and the girls wrote, produced and scored music for The Highway of Tears (a documentary on Netflix Canada) and Pop Star Puppy (a Christmas movie on the Hallmark Channel). Writing songs from the heart became the focus and their only mission- making music that made them feel something. Creating art they fully believed in was the only goal. Lyrics of hope and growth called out and the girls took to the studio to bring to life the words and sounds running through their heads.<br>
