Biography

Men Eater is a Portuguese band who came to life in 2005. Formed at the time by members of For The Glory and Blacksunrise, they quickly started rehearsing and wrote what became their first EP, released later that year.
After a handful of shows, they entered the studio to record their first full-length “HELLSTONE” - released in early 2007 on Raging Planet. They soon became one of the most active and known acts across the Portuguese underground scene, playing with bands such as Metallica, Mastodon, Torche, Pelican, Cult Of Luna and others.
In 2009 they released their second full-length, “VENDAVAL”, a more straight forward record, raw and heavy filled with gritty riffs, playing shows all over the country and constantly touring across Europe, which forced a couple of line up changes.
“GOLD”, their third record, released in 2011, would mark the band in every way. This was a more experimental record, with catchy riffs. With it came a natural move to longer sets and bigger stages but never losing sight of what they stood for.
Two years after “GOLD” was released, the band decided to go on hiatus, playing only a couple shows in 2016 with the original line up and performing “HELLSTONE” exclusively.
Now, six years after their last show, Men Eater will be releasing their first record in 12 years.
