Biography

Teremoana Rapley is a stalwart of the Aotearoa (NZ) Music Industry. She was inducted in to the Music Hall of Fame in 2018, collectively received the Taite Music Prize twice with Moana and the Moahunters (2019) and Upper Hutt Posse (2016) as well collectively receiving the Legacy Award with Upper Hutt Posse (2018). Teremoana is the only musician to receive all four accolades in Aotearoa Music history. Teremoana writes and produces her tracks in collaboration with her creative business partner, her nephews and eldest son. Her lyrics hailing from her MC days with her politically conscious roots of UHP, Moana and the Moahunters and Dam Native, and as she says in her own words, "same rapper, different decade." Her tracks are reminiscent of another era, either the past or the future. She is not RnB, or Rap as you know it; she creates Alternative Indie Conscious Music.
