Midva’s music is obsessed with the willing of pushing the borders between jazz and electronics. Keyboardist in many projects of the Omezis collective in Strasbourg (Emile Londonien, Cheap House, Acousmatics…) his solo work is influenced by artists who have been pioneers in this idea, like J Dilla, Herbie Hancock or more recently the pianist Kiefer and Taylor McFerrin. By the end of 2022, Midva released his first EP on the iconic french broken beat label Dope Tones Records. Since then, he’s been releasing singles with lofi influences and collaborating with artists such as Kuna Maze. The name "Midva" refers to the slovene language, in which midva is a pronoun used as the dual form. It litteraly means "the two of us", and it refers to his intention to record and sample different musicians that are around him in his own solo project. Most of the tracks are the result of a jam session or a specific moment shared with another person.
