Biography

Hailing from the vibrant musical landscape of Birmingham, England, Peter John Brown is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and composer. His musical journey began with the influence of his mother's vinyl collection and a profound love for art rock, amidst the captivating aesthetic of the 1980s. Peter's musical journey would see him performing in iconic UK venues alongside renowned acts such as The Surinder Sandhu Band and The Musgraves, until finding sanctuary within the walls of Park Studios JQ, where a long-term partnership was developed with Alastair Jamieson. Working as an in-house session musician and contributing to the studio's magic, Peter would leave an indelible mark on recordings by Tara Chinn, MeMe Detroit, Brandy Row and others. Fuelled by a relentless passion for creativity, Peter developed his own voice as a solo artist and his endeavours bore fruit in the albums "Music For Trains" and "The Kabuki Drop," each a testament to his musical evolution. The releases showcased his versatility, whilst inviting collaborations from established musicians, including Steve Hogarth of Marillion. Peter's artistic trajectory extends beyond traditional boundaries and he has most recently been composing for film and TV, where he is now a published Universal Music (UMG) artist. Peter is currently working on songs that he intends will form his third solo work, he will also be taking his material out on the road and performing intimate shows in 2024.
