Formerly known as Detoxify, Mcee Detox has been steadily working on perfecting his craft and finding a way to show his skill to the world. He became more serious about pursuing the odds upon meeting Mike Barkhoff in 2018. Under his previous guise, he released a handful of singles - and teased some that remain unreleased - and the EP Stage One. Under the new guise, and a new label found in Live Free, the reworking of Barking Vans Music, he has teased preperation to begin for his debut album, IMPL LP. Mcee Detox is a close collaborater with label mates Norff and Gee Mak. In 2021, this posse expanded to include 69ERRAS and 12Digits. Mcee Detox takes influence from old school hip hop classified as the gangster genre - an influence that can be heard across several tracks - but also loves to expierement with new sounds and genres, never writing himself into a corner. His stage name is a working spin off of Dr. Dre's fabled Detox album.
