Contemporary jazz string trio, J.A.M. String Collective, brings improvising strings to the fore. The trio weaves songlike melodies into open group improvisations, creating spontaneous filmic textures, injected with a solid dose of groove and the Blues. Occupying a fluid space between jazz and contemporary sound worlds, J.A.M. takes influence from the likes of Caroline Shaw, Charles Mingus, and ATOM String Quartet.
