THUGLI formed in 2012 at a unique time when a noticeable shift in sound had just begun. Their music quickly caught notice of industry heavyweights including Diplo, A-Trak, Just Blaze, Flosstradamus, Jazzy Jeff and an array of DJ's and producers from varying genres. In 2013 they released their single and music video for 'Run This'. The cinematic video/short film went viral (currently sitting at 29 million YouTube plays) and charted for six weeks on the Much Music Countdown in Canada. The video went on to win a Much Music Video Award and YDA First Prize at the Cannes Film Festival. The follow up single and video, 'Sic Em', was also nominated for a Much Music Video Award for Best Electronic Video. In 2015, THUGLI produced music for NBA2K15 "We Got Next" ad campaign featuring the NBA's star athletes Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant & George Paul. The duo has since remixed artists such as Diplo, ASAP Mob, Yellow Claw, Vic Mensa, Chris Brown, and released music on various labels such as Mad Decent, Fool's Gold, Dim Mak, Universal Music and Atlantic. THUGLI's popular bootlegs of artists like Jay-Z, Drake and others have also amassed millions of plays and have become staples in DJ sets around the world.
