Costa Rican trumpet player who has taught at various Trumpet, Band and Orchestra Festivals and Seminars He was principal trumpet of the Venezuela Symphony Orchestra, in Caracas, for the 2000 season. He is a member of “Rumba Jam” Latin Music Septet, a Costa Rican ensemble in which he does an interesting work in the field of popular music. He is also a session musician, regularly recording in studios. Although his career is concentrated on teaching and playing in a symphony orchestra, he has been invited to play as soloist and he regularly offers concert recitals with piano accompaniment. Presently, he is principal trumpet of the Costa Rica National Symphony Orchestra. At the University of Costa Rica School of Music, he is professor of trumpet and solfège, as well as the conductor of the Advanced and the Intermediate Concert Bands.
