Biography

Canadian/American rap artist Ode Broham, formerly Capital Ode, was born on the east end of Toronto, Canada in an area called Scarborough to West-Indian parents. Growing up, Ode’s household was filled with Dancehall and House music as his dad was a DJ, infusing his early years with a love for records. Music has been a presence in his life since the beginning and would continue to be as he moved from Canada to the United States at the age of ten. Ode's relocation to the United States in his youth, coupled with a childhood spent in various corners of the country, helped to ignite his passion for music even further.    By the time high school arrived, Ode had synthesized his diverse cultural influences from Toronto, South Florida, Alabama, New Jersey, and New York into a unique sonic blend of an array of styles, flows, and melodies that continued to help solidify his fanbase.    Over the course of his career, Ode Broham has delivered three albums, two EP's, and an impressive repertoire of singles for his fans to explore. In 2019, Ode unveiled the album, "DONT COME HOME DEAD," produced entirely by his main creative partner, Drum Fu. This album displayed a marked progression in mixing techniques and delved into themes such as infidelity, illegal immigration, and police brutality.   Ode Broham has garnered critical acclaim from respected publications such as Reignland, Bedford and Bowery, The Rap Fest, Pigeons and Planes, HipHopSpeakEasy, and Sunset in the Rearview.
