Mpress Kandace embraces a roots reggae style to bring a distinctive sound that is raw, powerful and emotive. As the former lead singer of roots reggae band Rasta Unity, Mpress Kandace has released singles such as Sweet Love and Youth Rize Up (feat. Lutan Fyah) premiering on Reggaeville. Mpress Kandace has a strong commitment to community development work. She has coordinated and delivered community arts projects such as Roots Culture Festival and Youth Rize Up reggae workshops. With strong ties to Jamaica and Brazil, Mpress Kandace is passionate about developing bridges between artists and diverse communities. Mpress Kandace recorded in Jamaica and had the opportunity to perform at reggae events and venues including the Empress Menen Groundation for Dada Earl Chinna, Jamnesia, The Pallet, Magaman Volcano Wednesday live stage show. Most recently, Mpress Kandace recorded her debut solo EP in Kingston, Jamaica, working alongside reggae artist Flames Eye and music producer D Dan Cawvinz.
