Scooyunda is an American Songwriter and Hip-Hop artist from Houston, Texas. Scooyunda’s lyrics are tough, smart and at times revolutionary. Scooyunda has the ability to come up with catchy hooks when the rhyme calls for it, and his lyrics are not like anything you’ve heard in the Houston rap game before. It’s like he has several distinctly different personalities when it comes to being a lyricist. Scooyunda surfaced on the South Side of Houston streets Sunnydale area in the early 2000’s along with Hip-Hop group “The GriT Boys”. Scooyunda & The G.R.i.T Boys flooded the Southern Region of the United States with over 200,000 mix tapes. G.R.i.T. stands for Ghetto Reality in Texas (the “i” is small because there was no “I” in G.R.i.T. Boys) and these men used that concept to take over the Houston streets. Numerous guest appearances embarked Scooyunda and the GRIT a major Deal in 2007.
