Leanne Jones is a British actress born in Stoke on Trent, UK. She attended Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts graduating in 2006. She is best known for her role as Tracy Turnblad in the 2007 original West End production of the musical Hairspray at The Shaftesbury Theatre in London. In 2008, she won both the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical and the Theatregoers' Choice Award for Best Actress in a Musical and the Critics Circle Award for Best Newcomer. Since Hairspray she has gone on to perform in theatres up and down the UK and has TV credits such as Unforgotten & Silent Witness. She even appears in the CATS movie directed by Tom Hooper.
