Biography

Alexandros Miaris is a classically trained musician/composer based in London. He is the frontman of Electric Litany and composes music for Film and Theatre. After his classical training from the age of 6, he moved to London for studies in electroacoustic composition and scoring for films while getting involved in various projects and writing music for diverse films, theatre and band based projects. He has scored European and US independent productions plus projects for clients such as the BBC, National Gallery, Apple, EMI records and many others. His approach to film music is to create eclectic and unique sounds and scores through the juxtaposition of different techniques in order to produce scores that one would call distinctive and unconventional. He is also the front-man (multi-instrumentalist/singer) London band Electric Litany, a musical project that has gained the recognition not only of fans and press around the world but also by renowned artists and composers worldwide such as renowned producer Alan Parsons (Pink Floyd “Dark side of the moon”, Beatles “Abbey Road”, who has spoken enthusiastically in public about Miaris’s music and ended up collaborating and co-producing an album together. As a performer he has toured extensively and appeared on numerous international festivals as a pianist, vocalist, guitarist, Persian santoor and modular electronics performer. Having shared the stage with The Prodigy, Alan Parsons Project, Erkan Oğur, Interpol and others.
