Boston-born and Baltimore-based, Tessa Barcelo presents a catalog of genre-defying music which effortlessly weaves the raw emotion of musical theatre, the sweeping darkness of cinematic pop, and the ear-catching melodies of Top 40 tunes. Growing up in Massachusetts, Tessa found her voice performing in musicals, singing in rock bands, and bringing the house down on karaoke night. With influences like Taylor Swift, 5 Seconds Of Summer, J. Maya, Charlotte Sands, and Emlyn, Tessa wraps honest, relatable moments in a musical package that has something for everyone. Her background in creative writing is evident in her poetic, illustrative lyrics which depict everything from the cinematic stories of her favorite book characters to the brutally honest experience of being a queer teenager in America. When she’s not performing, she can be found holed up in her bedroom with her many instruments or ranting about the ending of the last book she read.
