Otherwise known as Aisha Langton-Regis, is a musician, songwriter, producer and actress born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago. As a pop music artist, Asiia Re utilises the main elements of popular music and fuses them with other popular genres like rnb, dance, hip hop, and more- a trait that she is most known for. At only 20, she’s been in the music scene for a brief time, but music has been an important part of her life from birth. In her artistry she tries to demonstrate the importance of straying from the norm. That being yourself is perfectly fine. In early 2022, Asiia released her first single titled “Chaser” written by herself and produced by MoziBeats. The pop-trap fusion track is an ode to independence and chasing your goals. “Billie” released in August of 2022, is a disco-pop tracks written by herself and produced by Ved Mahadeo. The song is a tribute to one of her favourite songs, “Billie Jean” by Michael Jackson written from the perspective of “Billie” herself. “Ready” released in November of 2022, is a dance-pop track written by herself and produced again by Ved Mahadeo. “I really wanted to talk the most garbage ever in this song” This song takes advantage of the double entendre, and vocal technique that Asiia has been pushing herself more to incorporate in her music and gives the song a fun and dance-able finish.
