Her beastie boy -esque screech always betrays a wry punchline lurking around the next corner. And with her latest era of output (marked by the arrival of 2023’s monumental Creep Show, Vol. 0) basks in continual reinvention and innovation, with simple classic tools: no airy vocal chains or auto-tunes to be found, and very few synths or even sequenced drums: just a mic, two jogwheels, a crossfader, and a little notebook full of rhymes.
