Kara is a Philly based Indie artist that produces,sings, freestyles, arranges,and composes her music. She graduated College in 2016 with a B.S in Science. Her sister nudged her into music by paying for her studio session where she recorded 'Growing up in the ghetto." In 2016 she entered her first song competition & “Growing Up in the Ghetto" was selected as a runner up in American Track Awards. A self-taught guitarist at 25 she started performing at Revolutions Open Mic. After becoming jobless she focused on her music. In April 2018 she taught herself production with a Sansom USB Portable Mini Mic and Acer laptop. In 2018 Kara decided to distribute her music after re-discovering Donna Summer's many voices. She seeks to defy expectations by making all genre's of music. In July 2018 Just when she was going to stop singing because she viewed the industry as exploitative & she had no money. She covered a Gloria Estefan song & the same day Gloria Estefan tweeted saying” She has a beautiful voice, and to continue to keep singing she also stated she liked how Kara interpreted her cover. "Don't Want to Lose you” In August 2018 Kara performed her first solo venue at Bourbon in Branch and September 2018 at Green Soul in Philadelphia, PA.
