Adrian Diaz Martinez is becoming professor of horn at the Lübeck University of Music (MHL). The 29-year-old Spaniard is considered one of the leading horn players of his generation. Adrian Diaz Martinez was born in Madrid and received his basic musical education in his hometown. In 2017, he completed his studies with Marie-Luise Neunecker at the Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler" in Berlin with a master's degree. The young hornist, who has won several prizes, can already look back on an international orchestral career. At the age of 16, he was already accepted into the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival Orchestra and the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra, and played in the Konzerthausorchester Berlin during his studies. As a low-horn player, he has been a member of the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra since 2014 and the Bayreuth Festival Orchestra since 2019. Diaz Martinez has collaborated with other renowned orchestras such as the Berlin Philharmonic, Mahler Chamber Orchestra and Capella Andrea Barca, among others. He has performed at prestigious festivals such as the Zermatt Festival and the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Diaz Martinez is also experienced as a pedagogue: He has been teaching horn at the Hamburg University of Music and Drama since 2017 and at the Brass Academy Alicante since 2020. In 2018, Diaz Martinez released his first CD entitled "Avantgarde." with pianist Ikuko Odai. This year the duo plans to present another album entitled "Manu Scriptum".
