A producer, songwriter, instrumentalist and DJ with a passion for music across many different genres, Eric Scott, aka Digivinyl, draws on influences from rock ’n’ roll, funk, electronic, disco, EDM, house, and neo-soul to perform and produce music in a variety of styles, allowing for whatever mood strikes to guide him when the creative spirit is strong. Scott began his journey to create music in Alabama in high school, where he learned to play the trumpet and guitar. He took up music production in college, and honed skills over the next several years with recording and digital audio software before relocating to Nashville, TN. Once he established roots in Music City, he became a vinyl enthusiast and took up DJ’ing, adopting the moniker Digivinyl, spinning dance records produced in the styles of classic disco, Nu-disco, house, and EDM. Now, when he isn’t behind the decks filling a dance floor with sounds of a funky blend of familiar disco favorites, bangers from around the world that you never knew you loved, and a collection of original dance tracks and remixes, he is working with a growing network of local artists on new music projects and helping to build a community that supports creative expression, positive energy, and producing the finest quality of music of all types.
