Big Band Splash is a Swedish soul-jazz/rhythm & blues orchestra led by baritone saxophonist Jakob Norgren, who started the band in 2004. He’s the arranger and producer of Big Band Splash, and he’s also the leader of Jakob Norgren Jazz Orchestra, which is basically the same band playing instrumental, contemporary jazz. Two early albums were released under the longer name Jakob Norgren Big Band Splash, and they included a mix of contemporary jazz and soul/R&B.
