Sandy B is known as the underground Kwaito music legend and pioneer from South Africa who made his name as a young boy in the early 90s to independently release his first timeless EP AmaJovi Jovi and made him the first in his entire province of KwaZulu Natal to release this genre that forms part of South African history and township culture. This is the genre that the first SA democratic president Dr Nelson Mandela danced to when he took over the country to make peace and unite people. With much too fewer resources Sandy B managed to have his name counted among those who had their label's financial support and proper national distribution at that time. His music has since over the years been discovered by international crate diggers who showed so much interest in doing vinyl re-issues. This got him connected with the Canadian-based label Invisible Sound and then later in 2018 he collaborated with a Danish young producer and they formed a label called Vumbuka Records under which they released the record Qhum Qhaks. Today the world gets to see him perform in different countries outside his borders and also do collaborations with other great producers and singers who love his unique vibe. Over the years Sandy B's flexibility has allowed him to sing, perform and release other genres like House, RnB, Afro Pop, and more. But his unique Kwaito music style keeps him busier. So far he is leading the whole of South Africa in Kwaito music streams.
