His appreciation for music made during his two favorite eras, the steamy “Urban Cowboy” days and the prolific “90's country” explosion, inspires his songwriting and performing, and deeply connects those with dancehall in their blood. Derryl and his band are known to lay these honky tonk songs down with evangelistic energy, and have performed all over the country for over 20 years. This Texas songwriter has had multiple charted singles on Texas radio over the last few years, and is always writing and composing from his unique and artistic point of view. He paid early dues developing his craft in Nashville, where he was signed to a record deal with Music City Records and had two self-penned national single releases that charted with the label.
