Topeka native Chu-Cho is here to bring the original, old-school sound back. Chu-Cho has always had an ear for music. Growing up, he experimented with different instruments.But it wasn’t until 2010 that he started creating his music. While crafting a memorial song for his late grandfather, Chu-Cho tapped into his creative reserve. From that day on, he’s been writing songs and mixing beats his way. Despite being born in 1996, Chu-Cho connects with the old-school vibes of classic West Coast hip-hop. Reminiscent of the great Roger Troutman, Chu-Cho even blends elements of funk in some of his tracks without sounding dated or old-fashioned. He has found a way to stay true to the classics while updating them for the newest generation. Chu-Cho is no stranger to the stage, having opened for some of the biggest names in the business, including Bubba Sparx, Bizzy Bone, Afroman, The Odd Squad, Bozo, Opina, Misfit Soto, Hypnotic, Mr. Capone-E, Kid Frost, Twisted Insane, GT Garza, and Devin the Dude. With his dynamic stage presence,Chu-Cho’s performances are loud and vibrant, packed with positive energy and good vibes. His latest release, the album Chu-Cho’s Classics, is his best work so far; there is no doubt thousands will connect and relate to his material. Still in his hometown, Chu-Cho is working on more music, all while taking care of his family and two beautiful children.
