Raised in small towns of South Carolina, CliF would find his first song come out as a collaborative effort with Zak Tovin under Kanye Money. His musical tastes would begin at a young age through the absorption of classic rock, grunge, and progressive rock on his mother's side, and a litany of hip hop on his father's side when he was able to see him, which was rare. His journey in rap music truly began in high school however, through freestyle cyphers in the cafeteria and rap battles in the gym. This would also be where he would get to see the newer age of hip hop shine while also finding a connection to rapper DMX through his biography that portrayed a similar upbringing to his own. Later in the year 2023 CliF would drop his first solo single Lemony Snicket Kid, a song that paints the picture of an impoverished childhood and the effects it has on someone's view of the world, and he would then go on to release Cast Away soon after, which details his feelings towards dishonesty. He has also been featured on the collaborative album The Science Projex by Jester Exodus, which features many up and coming rappers who all share the same passions he has. He has a way of bringing old school style to the new age and pulling listeners in with a charismatic tone, all while spreading a message or telling a captivating story. CliF's belief is that he is only beginning and has so much more to offer the hip hop community with his music.
