With heartfelt lyrics and passionate vocals, Alina Cherone delivers an undeniably truthful sound. Born in Brooklyn and raised by West Indian parents, Alina developed a wide variety of musical influences. From the rhythmic melodies of Soca to the timeless songs of Country Music. She began singing at age 8 and carried her passion all the way through to college, where she majored in Musical Theater. Although Alina started songwriting at age 13, studying theater dramatically changed her perspective and her approach to lyricism. Songwriting went from being a cathartic hobby to an admirable craft. Post undergrad, Alina continued her pursuit for Broadway but never committed fully to the idea. It wasn’t until she was selected for Northwestern University's Johnny Mercer Songwriting Intensive in 2016 did she decide to pursue songwriting as a career. She released her first single “Milk & Honey” back in January 2020 and is getting ready to release her EP 'We Forget' in September!
