Barbara Cohen is an award-winning musician, singer/songwriter and film composer known for her distinctive voice, and ability to blend musical genres from folk to electronica, and world to modern-classical. Her career as a recording artist includes co-founding with Paul Robb, the Virgin Records’ ensemble, Brother Sun, Sister Moon, collaborating with England’s chart-topping, rave luminaries, Orbital, and singing lead vocals for the French electronica duo, Air. Cohen is also recognized for her own critically acclaimed independent solo albums including California, and her work with Little Lizard (TRG Records). Cohen’s early years with her debut group Farm Accident (Red House Records) earned her an enthusiastic Midwest regional following. With Cohen’s recent move back to Minnesota, she’s reconnected with her critically acclaimed 1990s’ group Little Lizard; Twin Cities’ luminaries cellist Jacqueline Ultan, guitarist Jeremy Ylivisaker and percussionist Marc Anderson. Little Lizard highlight’s Cohen on lead vocals and as a songwriter, playing new songs as well as cuts from Cohen’s independent solo albums California and Black Lake, and her new single "Let it Out." “The really amazing thing about working together now, 25 years later,” remarked Cohen, “is that we still have this easy connection, but everyone’s artistry has jumped up twenty/thirty-fold. It’s such a blast to hear everyone’s ideas and sink into the sound that’s being created."
